Oberdorfer Marine Pumps For Air Conditioning And Refrigeration

Oberdorfer all bronze straight centrifugal and self priming pumps with motors with 416 stainless steel shafts for marine air conditioning and refrigeration.Designed specifically for use as raw water recirculation pumps on marine air conditioners. These pumps are widely used by major manufacturers of marine A/C units as standard equipment on their new products.

Oberdorfer all bronze straight centrifugal and self priming pumps for marine air conditioning and refrigeration. Does not include motor (wet end only)

Oberdorfer Macerator Pump w/Vacuum Switch 25 GPM # 406MK-7N26 (CC)

Oberdorfer, macerator, single phase, close-coupled, bronze, self priming, rubber impeller pump with vacuum switch. Designed specifically for pumping sewage from boats to holding tanks or sewer connections. The function of the pump is to suction the solids and liquids from the holding tanks, grind the effluent with the rotating cutter head down to a small particle size and discharge of the waste to a convenient receptacle either above or below the pump elevation. Macerator pumps are not designed to be run dry of liquids. The impellers will wear and the pumps capacity to discharge the liquids will be lessened. The Oberdorfer macerator pump will macerate and pump all waste and tissue normally found in marine waste systems. IT WILL NOT HANDLE HARD SOLID OBJECTS, SANITARY NAPKINS, OR RAGS.

Oberdorfer Macerator Pump less Motor and Vacuum Switch, 25 GPM # 406M-07 (BB)

Oberdorfer Macerator Pump less Motor and Vacuum Switch, 25 GPM # 406M-07, single phase, close-coupled, bronze, self priming, rubber impeller pump with vacuum switch. Oberdorfer macerator pumps are ideal to empty waste in recreational vehicle and boats. The macerator section grinds waste down to a particle size of that can be easily pumped through the discharge line. The pump is self-priming, permitting the unit to be mounted above or below the tank in a convenient location. For optimal efficiency, the pump should be located as close to the waste source as practical. The Oberdorfer macerator pump will macerate and pump all waste and tissue normally found in marine waste systems. IT WILL NOT HANDLE HARD SOLID OBJECTS, SANITARY NAPKINS, OR RAGS.

Questions & Answers

Are the Oberdorfer Pumps warranted against corrosion damage?
Damage resulting from electrolytic corrosion is not covered by Oberdorfer Limited Warranty. Galvanic corrosion (electrolysis) can cause serious damage to any metal component in the water.
What is galvanic corrosion?
Galvanic corrosion is the deterioration of metals from the effects of electrolytic action. When different metals are immersed in a conductive fluid like salt water, an electric current is produced, similar to the action of a battery. The softer metal will be the first to deteriorate or corrode.
Can Galvanic corrosion occur in fresh water?
Galvanic corrosion can occur in fresh or salt water, but, salt, brackish and polluted waters can accelerate the galvanic corrosion process.
Do self-sacrificing anodes prevent or reduce damage from galvanic corrosion?
Self-sacrificing anodes can be mounted to a craft to help prevent or reduce damage to metal components from galvanic corrosion.
How often should sacrificial zinc anodes be replaced?
It is the craft owner’s responsibility to periodically inspect and replace the sacrificial zinc anodes. If the anode has deteriorated 50% or more, it should be replaced for continued protection. DO NOT paint an anode, its fasteners or its mounting surface. Paint and improper contact with its mounting surface will reduce the anode’s protection capabilities. Make sure the contact between the anode and its mounting surface is clean and secure.
